AppLocker on Windows
What is AppLocker?
Applocker is a built-in feature on your Windows device that limits which applications are allowed to run. As part of HSE's ongoing efforts to enhance security against cyber threats, AppLocker has been deployed to all Windows devices owned by the district.
Why did I receive a block notification?
AppLocker blocks all applications run from the user profile unless they are explicitly allowed by the HSE Technology Department. Applications that are installed during device setup, from Software Center, or applications in HSE's Approved Software List are automatically authorized to run on any HSE device.
How can I unblock an application?
If you would like to request an application to be unblocked or have any questions about why an application was blocked, staff may submit a ticket here:
